What the role is:The Government Partnerships & Engagement Group (GPEG) contributes to the development of a collaborative government that empowers partnerships and engagement (PE) with citizens for a better Singapore. It does this through the development of public sector capabilities in partnerships and engagement, external partnerships and the design and conduct WOG PE initiatives. The government is making a decisive shift towards deepening partnership - between government and citizens, and citizens with one another. Within GPEG, the Singapore Government Partnerships Office (SGPO) has been recently established to take the lead in this shift. • We serve as a “first stop” for those who want to partner the government, by facilitating interactions between people and the government, and connecting them with resources to help turn ideas into action. • We work together with government agencies to strategise, plan and coordinate partnership and engagement efforts. • We oversee resources, including funds and grants, to enable partnerships with citizens and interest groups. We do this to help shape a better Singapore, anchored by shared values of solidarity and mutual responsibility, and a desire for a more inclusive, resilient, and united society. We are looking for individuals with the conviction, competencies, traits, and experience to actively shape this endeavour.What you will be working on:Your roles and responsibilities may include the following: • Coordinate and execute partnership and engagement strategy and plans, in partnership with government agencies. • Implement and institutionalise systems, processes and structures to sustain and advance partnership and engagement across government and other stakeholders. • Identify service gaps and streamline work processes to optimise operational effectiveness and improve stakeholder experience. • Support tracking of and data management for partnerships across government and other stakeholders. • Support the coordination and management of partnership and engagement-related events and workshops with government agencies and other stakeholders. • Support the governance and administration of grant schemes, including reviewing funding processes and supporting project assessments • Support and advocate for partnerships; promote a partnership and engagement culture across government and other stakeholders.What we are looking for:An ideal candidate is someone who: • Is self-driven, flexible, result-oriented, and able to multi-task and adapt quickly in an evolving environment. • Is proactive and willing to take on new challenges. • Organises, plans, and coordinates effectively and meticulously under tight deadlines. • Communicates clearly and persuasively, in writing and speaking; able to analyse and consolidate information coherently. • Has strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and plays well in a team. • Experience in system-level work, data tracking, project management, and experience in the public sector and/or partnership/engagement-related work will be a benefit. • Cares for Singapore and believes in the value of partnership in making Singapore a better home. **Shortlisted applicants will be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting**About Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth:We aim to build a cohesive and resilient society, deepening the sense of national identity and affinity for Singapore through strengthening community bonds, promoting of the arts and heritage, youth engagement, sports development, volunteerism and philanthropy.
