What the role is:As a Senior Corporate Communications Officer, you will be part of the Corporate Communications Branch in charge of positioning Singapore Customs as the lead agency for revenue protection and trade facilitation. You will be required to: • Develop and implement integrated publicity plan, includes marketing and digital communications • Prepare media materials like draft speeches, presentations, talking points, quotes, FAQs, media/public replies • Manage digital platforms, including social media platforms • Support QSM function and crisis communications plan • Support administrative functions of the Corporate Communications branchWhat we are looking for:
  • Integrity: ability to manage sensitive / confidential information, especially in handling confidential issues and knowing how / when to handle such information. • Good Sensibilities: ability to understand core issues related to problems to come up with effective and creative publicity solutions. • Persuasiveness: ability to articulate convincingly, especially with media and stakeholders, to instill positive perception and reaction. • Emotional quotient: ability to handle difficult situations while maintaining a positive environment, especially in challenging situations. • Writing ability: able to organise thoughts logically and convincingly and put pen to paper in a simple and easily understood manner. • 'Killer instinct': ability to 'smell' a good story angle as well as generate good publicity across all platforms. • Digital savvy: have a good understanding of the existing and emerging digital technologies to plan and implement impactful digital publicity. • General attributes: Meticulous, self-driven, a team player who is confident, resourceful and level-headed with strong interpersonal skills and a 'can-do' attitude. • Experience: Three or more years of relevant experience in Communications and related fields
