- Vehicle Inspection: Thoroughly inspecting vehicles to identify issues or malfunctions, both through visual examination and using diagnostic equipment.
- Diagnosis: Identifying and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems in vehicles. This includes using diagnostic tools and interpreting error codes.
- Repairs: Conducting necessary repairs and maintenance tasks, such as engine repairs, brake system repairs, transmission repairs, and more, to ensure vehicles function correctly and safely.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform basic maintenance such as oil change, filter change, tire change, and fluid services.
- Able to perform maintenance and repair servicing on the air conditioning.
- Follow strict safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workshop.
- Use specialized diagnostics and tools to troubleshoot and pinpoint the root causes of problems.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs, and cost estimates, and addressing customers' questions and concerns.
- Test-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
- Specialize in specific areas of automotive repair if applicable.
- Carry out servicing as tasked by Supervisor & adhere to the servicing duration.
- Servicing carry out in accordance to checklist.
- Support vehicle recovery
- Carry out troubleshooting on electrical portion.
- Perform general maintenance, servicing, overhaul and troubleshooting activities on vehicles to ensure all vehicles operate safely and efficiently
- Inspect and check all braking systems, carry out rectifications and brakes improvement projects when assigned
- Undertake periodic preventive maintenance activities and other enhancement projects from time to time
- Any other duties as assigned
- Possess Higher NITEC or NITEC in Automotive Technology (Heavy Vehicles) or Motor Vehicle Mechanics or Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of working experience in a related field is required
- Valid Class 3, 4 and/or 5 driving license
- Computer literacy is an advantage
- Good understanding of Automotive and Electrical Engineering
