- Coordination of gang ordering and ship's working schedules.
- Supervise stevedore work.
- Supervise special loading or unloading operations.
- Pre-inspect special cargoes on site.
- Act as the company representative.
- Interface between the office, stevedores, and the ship.
- Licensed and experienced Master/Chief Officer on ocean going bulk carrier vessels.
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of ship construction, structural strength, trim, and stability.
- Knowledge/experience in stowage, lashing, and other requirements for the carriage of breakbulk cargoes, such as steel, projects, heavy lifts.
- Knowledge/experience with grain stability calculations and regulations.
- Knowledge of IMSBC Code and other relevant regulations and conventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Mandarin.
- Ability to efficiently interact with ship's Masters, and crew.
- Good organizer, strong attention to detail.
- Problem solver: stress resistant with the ability to make decisions and work independently.
- Computer proficient.
