What the role is:This would be a role in the Community Outreach Department under the Media Division in MDDI.What you will be working on:As part of MDDI's Community Outreach Department, Media Division, you will be part of the team that develops and reviews strategic communication plans and reports, supporting the promotion and understanding of relevant policies and programmes. You will be required to sense-make and identify emerging issues and opportunities. To do so, you will need to be data- and citizen-centric, leverage different communication platforms and experiment with new and emerging communications trends to achieve impactful and integrated outcomes. You will also manage the Department's corporate communication function, including marketing and branding, mainstream media and social media engagements and support the Director in stakeholder engagements as well as any other projects and duties as assigned.What we are looking for:
  • At least 3 to 5 years of work experience preferably in areas from strategic comms planning, crisis communications, media relations to stakeholder engagements, with demonstrated ability in developing, implementing, and reviewing comms plans • More experienced candidates would lead a team and be considered for the Assistant Director/Senior Manager role • Ability to liaise with Malay-speaking stakeholders • Intermediate to advanced data-analysis and digital communication skills • Strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills with ability to work across teams and with diverse stakeholders including vendors • Good knowledge of local and foreign media • Keen interest in current affairs, emerging trends and issues especially those relating to Malay/Muslim matters in the context of Singapore's multi-racial and multi religious society • A team player who is able to work well under pressure • Willing to work irregular hours including on weekends and public holidays Please note that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.
