The Role:
Designers are the backbone of Currency Design. They obsess over and create the kind of work that inspires our clients and partners to continue working with us, year after year after year…
As a Designer with us, expect to take on cross-spectrum design projects including print, web, and spatial. Our designers are also ambidextrous, being required to engage with clients and partners, manage timelines, and eventually run and direct projects.
Your scope of work will grow with you; at all tiers it revolves around:
- Delivering innovative design outputs of high quality across media and use cases, throughout project stages— from concept to final production.
- Supporting the company’s internal processes, work flows, and project management to execute projects.
- Productively engaging with the team, clients, and other partners to ensure that projects meet expectations, design requirements, timelines, and other milestones.
- Learning and/or conceiving best practices, optimizations, and new approaches for design
- Involvement in internal knowledge-sharing events and studio promotion projects.
- Making efforts for personal skills and career advancement, as well as the team’s.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What We Seek:
(Our needs are broad and we are open to meeting candidates with high potential. Even if you do not meet all requirements, who will consider your application holistically.)
- A solid understanding of design principles and printing procedures. Photography, film, and/or illustration capability is a plus.
- Strong communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal.
- A self-starter who knows what needs to be done and operates with urgency, focus, and discipline.
- Team player who can build strong working relationships within and outside the studio.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Experience with UI/UX and web development is a plus.
- Preferred but not required: software proficiencies in Mac, Google Cloud apps, Notion, Discord.

- Below 2 years- Junior Designer
- 2-4 years of experience- Designer
- 5 years and above- Senior Designer
