Job Description for Data ScientistHealth Services and Outcomes Research (HSOR) is a multi-disciplinary health services research department in National Healthcare Group (NHG) that provides decision support, evaluates programs and studies health behaviour. More information of our work can be found in website and annual reports here ( )Aim:We are looking for an analyst who will drive NLP/LLM practice oriented research and application on extracting value from clinical notes. Those with relevant experience will be considered for a senior role. You will be part of a Data Science & Operations Research team in HSOR.Qualification and requirements:A Master's in AI/Data Science. A degree or background in life sciences.Able to apply AI in clinical context.Strong and flexible in application of fundamentals of mathematics, probability & statistics and computer science; proficient in Python.Role:
  • Experiment with NLP and generative AI for annotation and analysis of unstructured data like clinical text. Comfortable with ontologies like SNOMED CT and ICD.
  • Process and analyse large healthcare databases to draw insightful results using statistical and machine learning methods that are descriptive, explanatory and predictive.
  • You are creative and curious to continue learning the wide field of HSR covering diseases, population epidemiology and healthcare system. You are self-driven with a hands-on approach who delivers, with guidance from team.
