The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
About The Team
As a Product Lead, you are responsible for general features content safety of global products. And you need to invest in controlling the risk level and improving efficiency, while establishing safety methodology. To do so, you will cooperate with safety business partnerships and business teams, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders across the Trust and Safety division.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

About The Team

Responsibilities
- Deeply understand content and user safety and, based on this, design the planning of general capabilities and roadmap. This includes, but is not limited to, feature safety, metric operation systems, and systemic development design.
- Manage a team of product managers and program managers setting directions and implementation paths for the team. Provide specific assistance and guidance to team members, enhancing their abilities in stragy formulation, communication coordination, and data analysis.
- Develop strategies for early detection of complex and nuanced trends in user behavior, enabling proactive identification of adversarial pattens and high-harm content at scale.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of content safety policies, systems, and data across various international products. Identify problems and opportunities using quantitative and qualitative analysis to continuously improve safety measures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry tends and best practices in content moderation and safety to improve internal strategies and ensure the platform evolves with the global risk landscape.
- Coordinate with R&D, algorithm, policy, and operations teams to secure resources and support the rapid development of the business.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving common goals.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects in content moderation, auto moderation, and safety strategies.
- Excellent logical thinking and independent data analysis abilities, enabling understanding of complex business scenarios, problem definition, and effective solution breakdown.
- Significant experience in Trust & Safety, with the ability to translate real-world behaviors and events into actionable technical insights and scalable strategies.
- Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate them into internal strategies to improve safety measures and address adversarial behaviors.
- Familiarity with global risk landscapes and a proactive approach to the detection and mitigation of high-risk user behaviors and trends.
- Proficiency in languages such as German or Arabic to support high harm behaviour content in those languages.
- Outstanding communication and persuasion skills, organizational coordination abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure in a results-oriented environment
- Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures, demonstrating strong collaboration and adaptability.
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
