Mandai Nature is a successful Singapore-based non-profit conservation organisation jointly set up by Temasek and Mandai Wildlife Group (which manages zoological parks including Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders and Bird Paradise). Mandai Nature is the conservation arm of Mandai Wildlife Group and was established with the aim of advancing efforts on biodiversity protection in Singapore and Asia. Through impactful programmes and innovative partnerships Mandai Nature strives to protect nature and inspire action.The Deputy Vice President (DVP) of Fundraising and Communications will play a pivotal leadership role in driving sustainable revenue growth, enhancing our brand presence, and cultivating meaningful partnerships. This position requires an accomplished professional with a strong background in business development/fundraising, and communications, coupled with an in-depth understanding of the not-for-profit sector in Singapore.The DVP will be responsible for growing and scaling the organization's donor ecosystem, expanding strategic donor collaborations and driving communication - whilst aligning opportunities with the broader goals of Mandai to ensure synergy and maximize impact.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Brand and Communications· Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all channels.· Strengthen the organization's brand identity, visibility, and reputation within the conservation and biodiversity sector as well as across the Philanthropy ecosystem.· Manage media relations, content creation, and public engagement initiatives to effectively communicate the organization's mission and achievements.· Work collaboratively with the wider Mandai Group to ensure Mandai Nature's prominence as the conservation arm of Mandai Wildlife Group.Fundraising and Business Development· Develop and execute multi-channel fundraising strategies across diverse revenue streams, including corporate partnerships, grants, high-net-worth individuals and foundations, with ambitious fundraising targets.· Grow and scale the existing donor ecosystem/giving by deepening engagement with current donors and identifying new opportunities for support.· Manage pitch process to new donors, through to signed agreements.· Understand emerging fundraising models, giving audience profiles and landscape in Singapore and the region, assess and recommend opportunities when aligned to Mandai Nature's strategy.· Expand strategic donor collaborations by identifying and negotiating impactful partnership opportunities.· Work closely with Mandai Wildlife Group's Partnerships Team to align partnerships and initiatives with organizational priorities and ensure successful delivery of shared objectives.· Act as a key representative and advocate for the organization at local and regional events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings when relevant to strategic partnerships.· Ensure compliance with all local and regional fundraising regulations and ethical standards.· Build strong relationships with donors and partners, fostering long-term engagement and support through exceptional client management.Leadership and Management· Lead, mentor, and manage a small and diverse team across fundraising, communications, and partnership functions.· Oversee the enhancement and implementation of standardized toolkits, processes, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency.· Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organization as part of the senior leadership team, including presenting to Mandai Nature Board periodically.Job Requirements:· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications/Marketing, or a related field.· Minimum 12-15 years of professional experience in fundraising, business development, communications, or partnership management.· Proven track record of securing significant funding from multiple streams, including corporate sponsors, foundations and individual donors.· Demonstrated expertise in growing donor ecosystems and managing high-impact collaborations.· Familiarity with conservation and biodiversity issues in Southeast Asia is a strong advantage.· Strong business acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.· In-depth knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practices for charities or Institutions of a Public Character in Singapore and the region.· Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to inspire diverse audiences.· Proficiency in communication and business development tools, processes, and software.· Passionate about conservation and biodiversity, with a commitment to making a measurable impact Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term goals and immediate priorities.· Collaborative and adaptable, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Specialization : Marketing
