Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and onboarding DeFi applications, protocols, and partnerships that drive Total Value Locked (TVL) and user growth for Union Chain. This role requires a deep understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including yield farming, staking, lending/borrowing, and liquidity provision. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building relationships with DeFi projects and a strong network within the crypto industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and engage with DeFi projects, protocols, and dApps that align with Union Chain’s vision of bridging TradFi and Crypto.
  • Negotiate partnerships and integrations to bring TVL and users to Union Chain.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of DeFi applications on Union Chain.
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract liquidity providers, yield farmers, and other DeFi participants to the platform.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to promote partnerships and drive user adoption.
  • Represent Union Chain at industry events, conferences, and meetups to build relationships and expand the network.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a similar role within the DeFi, Crypto, or FinTech industry.
  • Deep understanding of DeFi products, protocols, and market dynamics.
  • Strong network within the crypto and DeFi ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of closing deals and driving growth in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance in the crypto space is a plus.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience working with or for a blockchain protocol or crypto exchange.
  • Technical understanding of smart contracts, blockchain infrastructure, and tokenomics.
  • Fluency in another Asian language
