- Analyze and debug circuit board down to component level
- Build cables and assemble minor circuits on breadboard
- Perform power and thermal characterizations
- Interface with CM & internal manufacturing operations
- Support Failure Analysis teams. Example: Use soldering iron to repair and replace through-hole and surface mount components
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in EE with 2-5 years of industry experience in Hardware Electrical Design.
- Strong Knowledge and experience in the high speed board Design.
- Proficient in Orcad Schematic Capture, symbol creation, library management.
- Experience in layout design using Cadence Allegro.
- Experience working with substrate and PCB vendors.
- Knowledgeable with PCB materials and stackup construction, PCB manufacturing processes and working with PCB fab vendors.
- Must have experience with high speed probing, lab measurements and correlation of EM simulation with measurements.
- Familiar with Lab testing methodologies and procedures and proficient with lab test equipment, such as Real-time scope, PNA and BERT.
- Familiar with JEDEC and IPC standards for microelectronic assembly, and SMT assembly.
- Knowledge with thermal and mechanical aspects of board design.
- Knowledge of EM, Transmission line theory fundamentals, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies & electronic loads
- Must be self-motivated, be organized and good attention to details.
- Have effective communication and presentation skills, and a team player.
