We are seeking a creative and skilled Product Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing merchandise products and collections that align with brand guidelines and drive commerciality for our retail stores. Aside from design work, this role will need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end process of product development and design support for all aspects of the retail store.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and design full product collections based on brand merchandising needs. Product types include Apparel, Accessories, Souvenirs and other consumer products.
  • Provide competitive analysis and market trends reports to support design proposals. Partner with product development and merchandisers to understand consumer needs.
  • Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes of designs for internal review and handover to merchandising team for product development. Work closely with the merchandising team throughout the entire development process to review product samples and make design adjustments when necessary.
  • Collaborate with brand and program teams to create compelling product concepts and packaging designs.
  • Assist in preparing design presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creation of in-store display signages and collaterals based on the needs of both Visual Merchandising and Merchandising Teams.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative concepts for upcoming collections.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a product designer, preferably in the retail or fashion industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity in merchandise/product design.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of textile design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams.
  • Ability to interpret and implement feedback from different stakeholders.
