What the role is:This is a 2-year contract position Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Business & Entrepreneurship (Creative Arts, Heritage and Culture) in the School of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies.What you will be working on:Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:-Curriculum development, course delivery (face-to-face/online) and project supervision for youth and/or adult learners in the following areas:Creative Entrepreneurship in Arts, Heritage and EntertainmentMarketing & Audience Development in Arts, Heritage and EntertainmentFinancial Management in the Arts, Heritage and EntertainmentLead and identify new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with the industry, institutes of higher learnings & related agenciesSupervise students during internshipsBe up to date with the latest developments in the arts, heritage and entertainment sectors, specifically in the areas of business and entrepreneurshipManage administrative work related to teaching and assigned projectsWhat we are looking for:Candidates should have prior experience in arts and entertainment, arts and heritage, arts and business, entrepreneurship or a related field and/or discipline. Candidates should be competent to develop, teach and provide leadership in at least 3 of the following areas:Creative EntrepreneurshipMarketing & Audience DevelopmentFinancial ManagementEssential pre-requisites relating to years of experience, skills, knowledge and attributesRelevant tertiary qualifications in Arts Management, Business, Humanities, Social Sciences or equivalentDirect experience and a keen interest in the arts with business domains, particularly in the areas of business development and entrepreneurshipExperience teaching and/or working with youths will be an advantageExperience in teaching communications related subjects and/or have IT skills will be an advantageAn agile team player with good interpersonal and communication skillsProject/time management and attention to detailAbout Ngee Ann Polytechnic:At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, our nine academic schools offer over 40 full-time diplomas to a growing student population of more than 15,000.
