About the Role
We are looking for a responsible and motivated Product Refurbishment Line Manager to oversee a high-priority project involving senior managers from our Customer. This role provides valuable experience in resource management, quality control, and supply chain management, particularly in collaboration with government agencies on supply and demand projections. You will play a key role in optimizing the refurbishment process to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the product refurbishment process, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Track the status of products received, in progress, and completed refurbishment.
Conduct visual inspections and testing to document product conditions upon receipt.
Maintain detailed records of refurbishment progress, including recommended repairs and updates.
Manage spare parts inventory by:
Identifying salvageable components from incoming products.
Monitoring shortages and proposing solutions to ensure supply continuity.
Coordinating with suppliers for spare part procurement.
Prepare budget requests and purchase requisitions (PR) for spares.
Ensure quality assurance by reviewing refurbishment records.
Generate bi-weekly status reports on product refurbishment.
Guide and support interns in refurbishment activities, troubleshooting issues when necessary.
Escalate unresolved matters to the Land Transport Pillar (LTP) for resolution.
Job Requirements
Diploma/Technical Diploma in Engineering.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a lab or technical environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Motivated and eager to learn new technologies.
Ability to adapt to evolving processes and industry advancements.
