Job Description: Clinic Assistant

Position Summary: The Clinic Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. This role involves assisting healthcare professionals, maintaining clinic hygiene, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assistance:

  • Welcome and register patients, ensuring accurate collection and recording of personal and medical information.

  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling, inquiries, and follow-ups.

  • Provide basic support for patients, such as offering directions or ensuring comfort while waiting.

2. Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records, both physical and digital.

  • Handle billing, payments, and insurance claims processing.

  • Answer phone calls and emails, addressing patient inquiries promptly.

3. Operational Assistance:

  • Prepare consultation rooms with necessary medical supplies and equipment for each appointment.

  • Assist healthcare professionals during procedures or consultations when required.

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of medical and office supplies.

4. Clinic Hygiene and Maintenance:

  • Ensure all areas of the clinic, including consultation rooms, waiting areas, and restrooms, are clean and well-maintained.

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, and high-touch areas to maintain infection control standards.

  • Monitor and replenish hygiene supplies (e.g., gloves, hand sanitizers, disinfectants).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum secondary education; healthcare or customer service experience is a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail, especially in maintaining hygiene standards.

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.
