Job Description

Intern - PTO Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT)

As part of the Pharmaceutical Technical Operations (PTO) team in Singapore, the PTO AMT intern will experience a hybridized role of

1. Supporting the execution of activities for the Process Analytical Technology (PAT) team (Online and Offline Near Infrared (NIR) applications in non-sterile applications)

2. Supporting the progression of continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives within the PTO team

The PTO Intern's main responsibilities are as follows:

PAT:

· Develop understanding of PAT processes used in the pharmaceutical industry and applying the knowledge to support day to day operations, including but not limited to data collection and analysis, performance monitoring and instrument troubleshooting etc

· Support execution of activities related to PAT changes, such as implementation of new instruments, NIR models, software upgrades etc.

· Provide support to develop multivariate data analysis (MVDA) models for online process monitoring

Continuous Improvement and Digitalization:

· Cultivating a continuous learning and improvement mindset, specifically through the use of digital applications to improve productivity. Specific areas of focus include upcoming areas such as discovering opportunities and use cases for the complementary use of AI (particularly Generative AI) to improve general productivity

· Screening for opportunities where potential solutions (current or new technology) can be implemented to improve ways of working

· Support the development of the abovementioned solutions as appropriate

· Support the development and sustainment of a citizen developer framework and enable rapid deployment of simple digital solutions

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, including but not limited to Chemical/Biological/Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computer Engineering

· Experience/interest in programming/coding solutions, generative AI technology and data analytics

· Technically curious and interest in real-world applications of technology on the business. Able to grasp new technical concepts and internalize them quickly, translating business requirements to develop solutions

· An excellent team player who is able to readily take on responsibilities and work independently

Able to commit to a minimum 6-month internship is preferred
