Quantity Surveyor (QS) | Jurong | 5 Days | Up to $3,600

Roles & Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze cost comparisons.
Obtain quotations and liaise/negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers.
Manage and measure quantities and take-offs accurately.
Prepare variation orders, claims, final accounts, settlements, and sub-contractor payments.
Draft tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities in collaboration with architects and clients.
Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects.
Assist in establishing client requirements and feasibility studies.
Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
Allocate work to subcontractors and manage their performance.
Provide advice on contractual claims.
Analyze outcomes and draft detailed progress reports.
Value completed work and arrange payments.
Maintain awareness of building contracts in current use.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Handle all other QS-related tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

Educational Background: Degree or Diploma in Construction, Building, or its equivalent.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of relevant QS experience, including handling commercial projects up to $5 million.
Aspiration to climb to higher positions and take on leadership roles.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to oversee and mentor a team (future responsibility).
Expertise in contract negotiation, administration, and variation orders.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
