Position Summary
Strategic Sourcing Professional, Samsung SEA International Procurement Centre (IPC)You will be part of the regional team acting as the regional electronics components experts and formulating plans for sourcing development and create value for Samsung's global supply chain.
To achieve this objective, you will need to collaborate closely with internal stakeholders from HQ/regional factories and external partners.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contribute market intelligence on regional manufacturing landscape and commodity price trend to internal stakeholders for strategic procurement planning
- Analysis and formulate sourcing strategies including deep market trends and supply chain analysis.
- Plan and execute components sourcing development projects and build a collaborative relationship with internal stakeholders (R&D, Procurement PICs), thus delivering on sourcing initiatives
- Drive total cost competitiveness through sustainable procurement strategies
- Manage Supply Chain competitiveness and conduct supplier plant audits & assess supplier capabilities
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering related discipline
- 4 to 7 years of relevant sourcing experience in Electronics Manufacturing industry preferred
- Fresh grads with keen interests in technologies development and the willingness to explore and learn are welcome.
- Strong communication skills
- Familiar with market research and reporting
- Good knowledge of S.E. Asia Electronics industry
- Basic Technical knowledge of electronic components and consumer products group (Mobile, PC, TV, Home appliances and Network)
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint Presentation
