Job Title: Experienced Tile Setter
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tile installation techniques, including preparing surfaces, measuring and cutting tiles, applying adhesives, and ensuring the finished product meets high-quality standards. The tile setter will work on residential and commercial projects, ensuring a clean, professional finish that meets the specifications and expectations of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure and mark surfaces to determine the layout of tile installations.
Prepare and level surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, and applying appropriate bonding materials.
Cut, shape, and trim tiles to fit edges and corners, ensuring a precise and neat finish.
Install tiles on floors, walls, countertops, and other surfaces, adhering to design plans.
Mix and apply adhesives, grout, and other materials as necessary.
Inspect completed work for accuracy, ensuring tiles are evenly spaced and securely attached.
Communicate with clients and contractors to ensure satisfaction with installation.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tile installations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Tile Setter, with at least 4 years of experience in residential and/or commercial installations.
Knowledge of various tile materials (ceramic, porcelain, marble, etc.) and installation methods.
Proficient in using tools such as tile cutters, trowels, and grinders.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Physical stamina to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in different environments.
Valid driver’s license (if required for travel to different job sites).
Preferred:
Certification in tile setting or related trade.
Familiarity with advanced installation techniques (e.g., heated floors, mosaic patterns).
