Job Title: Engineer/Senior Technician – Test Bench Management

Contract: 6 months

Location: KCD

Job Overview:
We are seeking an Engineer or Senior Technician with a strong electronics background to oversee the Test Bench at the client's front office. This role is critical in the KPI fault confirmation process, ensuring accurate board testing, reporting, and root cause analysis in coordination with the client’s back office.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Bench Operations & Fault Confirmation:
  • Operate and manage the Test Bench at the client’s front office.
  • Perform board testing and failure diagnostics.
  • Report test results and findings to the client’s back office.
  • Work closely with experts to analyze root causes and support operators.
  1. Repair Management & Logistics:
  • Handle and document all defective electronic products.
  • Follow up on repair processes with the client’s back office.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team for component retrieval and shipping.
  1. Equipment & Inventory Maintenance:
  • Maintain Level 1 Test Bench operations with back-office support.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of other repair room equipment and tools.
  • Manage Test Bench calibration and spare part inventory at the client’s front office.

Requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • Electronics background with experience in embedded systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics (inputs, outputs, internal flow).
  • Experience troubleshooting relays, microprocessors, capacitors, and other components.
  • Industry experience in railway (preferred) or automotive (acceptable, with knowledge of CAN networks).
  • Understanding of card communication flows (training provided on railway-specific architectures).
  • Familiarity with serial links vs. network communication (high-level understanding required).

Work Environment & Logistics:

  • Location: SMRT Kim Chuan Depot (Near Tai Seng MRT, ~10 min walk).
  • Start date: ASAP (end of February).
  • Interviews: One technical round with Project Lead + Project Manager.
