This role is responsible for the system design and solution architecture of IT initiatives focused on supporting postgraduate programs at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will help to foster close collaboration between IT and stakeholders, acting as a liaison between business users and the IT development team to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects.

This position plays a key role in shaping the future of postgraduate education by designing IT solutions that enhance the overall student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project planning, monitoring, and execution to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.

  • Analyze business processes, gather business requirements, and translate into functional specifications.

  • Serve as a liaison to bridge the business requirements with the technical team for the solutioning and development.

  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and address any arising issues.

  • Coordinate testing and implementation of fixes.

  • Support multiple applications and platforms while ensuring adherence to IT policies, procedures, and service level agreements.

  • Continuously assess and optimize system performance to drive improvements.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline.

  • At least 8 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst leading at least two end-to-end full SDLC project delivery.

  • Experience in API integration including REST, SOAP and Webhooks.

  • Experience with bespoke web-based workflow processing-related applications is an added advantage.

  • Prior exposure to the education industry is an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.

  • Customer service orientation and a commitment to quality.
