JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing and ensuring that all regional logistics services and capabilities (trade compliance, customs brokerage, transportation, hubbing, productivity, indirect taxes) needed to support Jabil’s operations and to ensure that customer programs are fully effective. This position works with Regional and Site leadership teams in devising strategy and operational programs to meet future and current operating requirements. This position is a member of the global logistics team and participates in formulating global and regional logistics strategy. Success in this position requires experience in managing teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously, implementing and driving change, detail orientation, strong analytical skills, market knowledge and customer focus. Key success attributes are change management, being an effective “face to the customer” and driving productivity and continuous improvement. The person in this position must have a high bias for action, strong team leadership, facilitation and communication skills and an ability to work in a matrix organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide in region logistics leadership for all Jabil logistics and trade compliance operations.
· Formulate logistics strategy in support of business unit and site requirements.
· Manage and coach regional logistics team and site logistics managers
· Provide guidance to carrier managers in regional carrier selection and negotiations.
· Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously
· Work in coordination with the other Regional Managers in formulating strategy and capabilities to provide logistics support for cross regional operations.
· Develop and drive productivity initiatives for both in region and cross region operations.
· Ensure regional logistics performance.
· Support customer sales initiatives and customer accounts. Meet with customers.
· Lead dedicated customer logistics activity
· Drive team productivity
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Global and in-region transportation (air, integrator, road and ocean modes)
· Indirect taxes: VAT/GST
· Trade Compliance and Customs Regime programs
· Supply chain operations

· Fluency in English required (speaking, writing and reading).
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra.
· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited data exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to interpret customer requirements.
· Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
· Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
· Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
· Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
· Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
· Strong and convincing communication skills.
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
· Seven (7) to ten (10) years of significant international and regional logistics experience.
· Demonstrated high performance orientation, high bias for action, strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, negotiation skills and communication skills.
· Must be able to influence senior management through well formulated business presentations.
· Must have ability and willingness to work and lead focused and cross functional teams within a matrix organization.
· Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
