About the Role
As the Head of Product (Accounting), you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing our accounting operations through cutting-edge technology and strategic product innovation. Your mission is to design and execute a product strategy that leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation to enhance the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of our financial processes. You will lead cross-functional teams in integrating AI-powered solutions where applicable while identifying areas where traditional methods remain optimal, ensuring our in-house accounting software not only meets client needs but sets industry standards in innovation and operational excellence.
Outcomes:
- Extraction & Categorization: Apply AI and machine learning algorithms to maintain a 99% extraction accuracy on supporting documents and auto-categorize >80% of them within the next year.
- Timely Bank Statements: Ensure 100% collection and extraction of all required bank statements within 3 months to keep client financial data up-to-date.
- On-time bookkeeping: Ensure 100% on-time bookkeeping by staff and supplemented by automation for all clients that have submitted all required documents
- Receipts Matching: Attain 99% auto-reconciliation of receipts with bank transactions where a direct match exists.
- eNPS Target: Lead efforts to achieve an employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) of >50 for our in-house built accounting software by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Product Management, with at least 3-4 years managing a team of PM’s.
- Proven track record of building products in the Accounting space is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Metrics-Driven: Deep understanding of business metrics and how to translate them into product decisions.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and making quick, impactful decisions whilst highlighting trade offs.
- Bonus points if you're coming from an engineering background, and/or startup experience.

About the interview process
The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages.
It might seem like a lot - but fear not - we come prepared! We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish depending on your availability.
Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role.
Introductory call & Career Deep Dive
- A ~30 minute video call with a member of our HR team to discuss your application and get a better understanding of your experience and expectations for the role
Role-Related knowledge interview
- A ~30-60 minute chat with the Hiring Manager and/or another member of the team to validate your technical aptitude for this role.
Behavioural fit assessment
- A ~60 minute chat, usually with a member of HR or the leadership team
- We’ll dive into some recent work situations to understand how you think and work
Reference interviews
- We’ll have 2-3 short phone or video calls with references that you provide to us
- So as to not delay your offer, we may ask your permission to have these calls earlier on in the interview process
Requirement for background screening
Please be aware that Sleek is a regulated entity and as such is required to perform different levels of background checks on staff depending on their role.
This may include using external vendors to verify the below:

- Any criminal history
- Any political exposure
- Any bankruptcy or adverse credit history
