We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced E-commerce Solutions Business Development Director to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in strategizing and executing market entry and expansion plans for Japanese and Chinese brands in Southeast Asia. This position requires a deep understanding of the e-commerce marketplace, as well as expertise in live commerce, content creation, and import regulations. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of more than 20 members in the region, ensuring the successful implementation of e-commerce strategies. This role demands a high level of cultural understanding, industry expertise, and multilingual communication skills to liaise with international stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive e-commerce solutions for Japanese and Chinese brands aiming to enter or expand in Southeast Asian markets.
• Lead high-impact strategic initiatives to optimize brand positioning, sales performance, and cross-border e-commerce operations.
• Drive performance in the e-commerce marketplace through data-driven analysis, marketing strategies, and live commerce initiatives.
• Oversee live commerce operations and content creation, ensuring innovative and engaging campaigns that maximize customer engagement and conversion rates.
• Ensure full compliance with import regulations and e-commerce policies across multiple Southeast Asian countries, mitigating risks for international brands.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of more than 20 members to execute e-commerce strategies effectively.
• Act as a key liaison between brand partners, logistics providers, and platform representatives to drive market success.
• Utilize multilingual skills (Japanese, Chinese, and English) to facilitate negotiations, stakeholder communications, and cross-cultural business interactions.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce, with a strong focus on Southeast Asian markets and cross-border trade.
• Proven track record in successfully managing and scaling e-commerce operations for international brands.
• In-depth expertise in Shopee, TikTok Shop, and other leading e-commerce platforms.
• Strong knowledge of live commerce operations, content marketing, and audience engagement strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of import regulations and compliance requirements in Southeast Asia.
• Excellent leadership skills with prior experience managing and developing teams.
• Exceptional communication skills in Japanese, Chinese, and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently and drive business growth in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment.
