The Head of e-commerce is an industry-leading e-commerce expert and contributes to manage, grow and evolve all aspects of Havas Media’s digital retail practice including development of our e-commerce consulting offer and methodology, and building partnerships with the main local and global e-commerce. E-commerce includes all three pillars of online sales, with Direct-To -Consumer website, online to store and marketplaces.

This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer of Havas Media Group, Singapore, and the President of SEA (Havas Media). The successful candidate will work closely with the local team to develop and exponentially grow the e-commerce offering. The Southeast Asia countries include Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

• Create a roadmap for development and growth of e-commerce capabilities across the SE Asia region

• Stewarding the total e-commerce practice in driving revenue and focus on reaching yearly targets & objectives fixed by the Group

• Create strategic partnerships with local marketplaces to build new business opportunities

• Convert business opportunities with existing clients and develop opportunities new clients

• Conceptualise impactful and effective e-commerce marketing plans for existing and new product launches

• Maintain rapport with potential and existing networks to develop business relationships and explore new markets

• Ensure end-to-end account profitability and growth of assigned clients

• Build and manage a team of e-commerce experts across SE Asia, grow the e-commerce expertise within the agency and drive trainings to build expertise

• Contribute to the development of the e-commerce virtual P&L wherever applicable

• Overall P&L responsibility for Havas Market in SE Asia

Key Competencies:

• 7-10 years’ professional experience in the retail industry, and at least 3-5 years in e-commerce

• Extensive understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact online sales

• Proven Track record as an e-commerce lead with demonstrable experience of growing e-commerce capabilities

• Experience in e-commerce negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory, and supply chain management, merchandising and catalogue management, retail Media and retail analytics

• Experience launching a new business unit, or working in a start-up or early-stage environment where you had to define best practice is a plus

• Data Driven: Ability to compile and analyze online sales data and metrics, provide actionable insights and make decisions regarding direction based on your analysis

• Tech-savvy to drive the growth of the e-commerce tools ecosystem

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Solid understanding and insatiable interest of consumer trends in e-commerce /retail
