Responsibilities

• Perform sales, sales-trading and trading duties for the electronic trading desk through daily client coverage and execution activities related to algorithmic/portfolio trading business line.

• Communicate with clients on their orders: acknowledge receipt of orders, update on trading progress and performance, warn them of issues, stock and market news

• Monitor algorithm execution and performance, monitor trading alerts and risk controls on orders

• Manual intervention on algo trades to trouble shoot issues, handle exceptions

• Run performance reports: pre- and post-trades, TCA reports

• Advise users on algorithm usage on a daily basis

• Help build customized algorithmic solutions for customers

• Perform daily tasks: morning checks, monitor risk controls and client daily limits

• Develop knowledge of client needs and requirements and co-ordinate coverage effort in order to improve client experience and take-up of Bernstein’s low-touch trading solutions.

The role offers the candidate the opportunity to grow client relationship management and trading experience in a fast-paced environment, and develop technical skills and product expertise in the domain of algorithmic and program trading.
Profile required

• Hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar.

• Experience in an equity trading or sales role at an Investment Bank, on the High Touch, Program Trading or Electronic desk.

• Knowledge of trading Asian markets and market microstructure, including core fundamentals of algo-trading.

• Understanding of client relationships within the Asian Equities community, Institutional Asset Managers and hedge Funds.

• Good understanding of equities trading, algorithmic trading, micro-structure, transaction cost analysis, and associated trading parameters.

• Strong relationship, communication & organizational skills.
