Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Sales Assistant to join our seafood market stall team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently process customer transactions and provide excellent customer service.



Key Responsibilities

Accurately process customer payments, including cash, and other payment methods
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to record sales and generate receipts
Provide change and issue receipts to customers
Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies
Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Maintain a positive and helpful attitude
Assist in restocking and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere



Required Qualifications and Attributes

At least 1 year of cashiering experience using POS systems in the retail or food service industry
Excellent customer service skills and friendly demeanour
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work the night shift and on public holidays
Comfortable to work in a wet market environment
Has good knowledge of seafood is preferred
Meticulous and accurate when handling cash
