We are looking for Accountant, Payroll Singapore.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People & Culture, you will deliver Singapore payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages and maintenance of related records to comply with local legislative and organizational requirements. You may also support the management of HRIS and payroll system performance, processes, functionality and interfaces. In addition, you will undertake compensation and benefits administration activities to provide support to the Compensation and Benefits area, which may include updating data, data analysis/ reporting, benefits administration, system(s) support, program/ process activities to ensure the effective operations of the compensation and/ or benefits area. The role will require you to build and maintain effective relationships with all payroll key stakeholders including but not limited to our employees, businesses, functions and third party providers.

Key Accountabilities:

Payroll

  • Timely and accurate processing of Singapore payroll entries into the payroll system per the payroll cycles and as required.

  • Completion of end-to-end payroll across all businesses and pay cycles, including payroll, timesheets, costing, month end finance closing/ payroll accounting and interfaces.

  • Support the payroll and employee records processing through reconciliations, as well as perform analysis on payroll data which may include tracking claims, allowances, CPF contribution and invoices for budget and account reconciliation.

  • Utilise HR information systems and support the implementation of software to collect data and maintain records.

  • Prepare and provide information and payments for all statutory requirements e.g. CPF, taxes etc.

  • Create accurate and timely records, salary-related reports and provide support in payroll related services which may include the preparation of files, forms, registrations, journals, audits, pay slips, invoices and leave balance to support operations.

  • Support quality and integrity of payroll data and manage payroll systems interface into general ledger accounts.

  • Proactively work on looking for system efficiencies and ways to mitigate risk within the payroll system. Ensure all legislative changes related to payroll systems are implemented to systems and processes prior to statutory deadlines. Support system implementation/ improvements as necessary.

  • Collect feedback and respond to payroll queries, providing assistance to resolve payroll related issues and problems.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Perform Benefits administration which may include answering questions regarding insurance and healthcare plans

  • Support Compensation review processes (e.g. annual increase and bonus processes) and facilitate operations

  • Liaise and manage insurance brokers and other vendors, review service delivery and contracts when required

  • Support Compensation and/or Benefits systems and HR information system(s), processes which may involve collecting, inputting and maintaining database to ensure data integrity.

  • Work on ad hoc projects and initiatives at the direction of the Company.

Requirement

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with 2-3 years experience in similar capacity,

  • Strong knowledge and experience of end-to-end payroll.

  • Previous HRIS/Payroll system experience essential.

  • Knowledge of Singapore statutory and legal requirements of payroll and related areas is essential

  • Knowledge of payroll taxation rules is essential

  • Knowledge of payroll accounting is desirable

  • Excellent attention to detail. Ability to perform complex calculations.

  • Good analytical with the ability to interpret financial information.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Organised and good time management, ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.

  • Operate independently with daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
