Senior Assistant Manager, Student Development (1-year contract)
Introduction:
This position will support the deployment and administration of Co-Curricular Learning (CCL) within the Student Affairs Office (SAO). CCL is a university-wide strategic educational initiative designed to provide students with learning opportunities beyond the academic curriculum to equip them with key graduate attributes and competencies. This position in SAO, will also assist in planning and driving Student Development projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
University-wide Communication and Outreach Initiatives for Co-Curricular Learning.
Support the communication and outreach initiatives for CCL, including maintaining the internet/intranet webpages, social media, roadshows.
Plan and coordinate the production of CCL communication collaterals with creative agencies, including digital pubs, electronic direct mailers, videos, banners, etc.
End-to-End Co-Curricular Learning Administration
Support the Team Lead in managing the end-to-end administration of CCL which includes:
- Course review and approval
- Course enrolment
- Course completion tracking
- CCL transcript
- Graduate Attributes mapping
- Managing appealsSupport in communication with units and students in the development and administration of CCL modules in compliance with the CCL framework and policies.
Co-Curricular Learning System Management
Support the Team Lead in the set-up, launch, and continuous enhancement of the CCL system which includes:
- Defining business process and system requirements
- Stakeholder engagement
- User acceptance test
- Reconfiguration to meet the changing business needsCoordinate with units to maintain updated records in the Curriculum Management Application and the CCL System.
Assists in the provision of regular data or reports.
Student Development Initiatives
Support the planning and implementation of various student development initiatives within SAO.
- Student Leadership Development Programme
- Transition & Orientation Programme
- Ambassador Programme
This is a 1-year contract position.
Requirements
A good degree from a recognised university with at least 6 years of relevant working experience in tertiary education administration.
Experience with academic services administration will be advantageous.
Possess working knowledge of database and process management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with people at different levels of the organisation.
Ability to drive results and achieve outcomes for a university-level project.
