Research Fellow (Robotic Manipulation)
Centre for Advanced Robotics Technology Innovation (CARTIN) is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join our cutting-edge research team focused on high-speed vision perception for autonomous driving. This project aims to advance the state of the art in visual perception algorithms and real-time systems for autonomous racing, pushing the boundaries of performance, speed, and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize vision-based perception algorithms for high-speed environments.
Integrate perception modules into unmanned vehicle platforms using ROS or similar systems.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless operation of perception and control systems.
Conduct experiments in real-world and simulated environments, with a focus on high-speed performance.
Publish high-quality research in top-tier conferences and journals.
Job Requirements:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
Expertise in visual perception algorithms, such as object detection, tracking, or SLAM.
Proficiency in ROS and experience with real-time system integration.
Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and work collaboratively.
Experience with autonomous vehicles or high-speed robotics is a plus.
