Research Associate (Embodied AI and Robotics)
Centre for Advanced Robotics Technology Innovation (CARTIN) is seeking a Research Associate to support research in embodied AI and robotic manipulation.
Key Responsibilities:
The role involves developing perception, control, and learning algorithms for robotic arms, integrating multimodal AI models (vision, language, force sensors), and conducting real-world and simulated experiments. The RA will work with robotic platforms, assist in publishing research, and collaborate with faculty and industry partners to advance AI-driven robotic systems.
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related fields.
Proficiency in Python, C++, and robotic middleware (ROS, MoveIt).
Experience with robotic perception, control, or learning-based methods.
Knowledge of machine learning, reinforcement learning, or vision-language models is a plus.
Hands-on experience with robotic arms (e.g., UR5, Franka Emika) is desirable.
