  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineeri​ng and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Associate in Prof Liu Xuewei’s group. Prof Liu Xuewei is looking for a Research Associate who is talented scientifically and can help develop critical reactions to simplify the current total synthesis of natural products, carbohydrates and glycoproteins.

The Research Associate will take on a significate role in carrying out unique research and publish high-quality research results, raising the profile and reputation of NTU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various synthetic experiments on the research project.

  • Conduct independent research and publish in reputable academic journals.

  • Communicate research findings through written and oral presentations to both internal and external audiences, including scientific journals.

  • Lead and motivate junior PhD student and undergraduate students

  • Design scientific projects

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or related fields

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in carbohydrate/peptide chemistry

  • Good written and communication skills

  • Good publication record in relevant research areas

  • Experience in writing research papers and communicating them to scientific journals.

  • Experience in mentoring junior graduate and undergraduate students.
