Responsibilities
Customer Service
Monitors and performs first-level maintenance for AFC equipment like fare gates and ticketing machines
Assists passengers with fare-related inquiries, provides first aid when necessary
Monitors CCTV and makes Public Announcements
Responds to alarms (e.g., fire alarm, MFT, ISCS, PEC, ESP activation)
Platform and Train Operations
Ensures passenger safety on escalators and during train boarding/alighting
Handles incidents and alarms at platforms/trains, performs hand signalman duties when required
Assists in detrainment and provides travel directions
Operates trains for quick responses to faults and alarms, minimizing delays
Provide travel directions to passengers travelling within the train system
Concourse Duties
Checks for illegally parked or abandoned bicycles and belongings
Inspects and addresses violations (e.g., illegal concession use, traveling without tickets, drinking, eating, smoking)
Administrative Duties
Liaises with cleaning staff for station/toilet cleaning
Reports equipment faults to the Station Manager via Maintenance Management System (MMS)
Station Opening and Closing
Opens/closes the station, manages equipment switches before/after traffic hours
Ensures all passengers are cleared before closing, facilitates track access during non-revenue hours
Checks for oil spills on station platform tracks after last Engineering Train
Incident Management
Handles and reports incidents involving staff, passengers, trains, and stations
Ensures appropriate signs are displayed during delays/incidents to keep passengers informed
Assists with service recovery during disruptions
Qualifications & Work Experience
NITEC/Higher NITEC in Engineering discipline.
Able to perform 3 rotating shift work.
