We are looking for a laser cleaning technician to join our factory and be a key member of operations. You will be responsible for operating, troubleshooting, basic repairing, and maintaining the laser cleaning equipment(under manufacturer guidance), as well as training and supervising future new operators. You will also ensure the compliance with the environmental and safety regulations, and the quality standards.
To be successful as a laser cleaning technician, you should have a good understanding of English and a positive attitude to learn. Having a certificate in laser technology, engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in laser cleaning or a similar industry is a plus but not mandatory. You should also have a valid N3 license issued by the National Environment Agency (NEA), or be able to obtain one within three months of employment. You should be able to learn advanced knowledge of laser cleaning principles, techniques, and equipment, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate laser cleaning machine
Receive, move and organise customer incoming and outgoing goods
May be required to collect or deliver goods
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the laser cleaning equipment, using appropriate tools and methods as indicated by equipment manufacturer
Train and supervise any new laser cleaning operators, and provide them with technical guidance and feedback
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and internal quality standards
Conduct regular inspections and tests on the laser cleaning equipment, and report any issues or defects
Update and document the relevant data and information, such as maintenance records, quality reports, inventory logs, etc.
Communicate and coordinate with other technicians, engineers, managers, and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of the laser cleaning process
Cleaning and housekeeping of the factory premises and other tasks that may be required
May be required to work in customer sites, within manufacturing plant
Minimum Requirements:
GCE “N” level English pass, or equivalent
Ability to read/converse in English, due to the need for understanding of technical and safety knowledge
Valid N3 license issued by the National Environment Agency (NEA), or ability to obtain one within 3 months of employment
Valid Class 3 drivers’ licence
Having a positive attitude and ability to learn knowledge of laser cleaning principles, techniques, and equipment
Ability to use MS Office suite of tools such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Physically fit, ability to perform manual labour work
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to be sent for training as directed by the company
Ability to train and supervise other laser cleaning operators
Ability to follow the environmental and safety regulations, and the quality standards
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Possessing prior knowledge or certification of laser technology is a plus but not mandatory
Past experience operating Class 4 lasers is a plus but not mandatory
Possess forklift licence is a plus but not mandatory
Able to wear company-prescribed PPE
Able to wear contact lenses(if required), due to the need to wear laser safety glasses
Remuneration:
Salary range P/T: $10-15/h
