We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as a Vice President, Investment Sales Lead, based in Singapore. Responsibilities:
- Alternative Investments (Private Equity, Real Estate and Hedge Funds). Whilst the role is focused on Alternative Investments, the role does involve being able to have a working knowledge of the entire Managed Investments platform, and Citi’s broad Investments capabilities.
- The successful candidate will work very closely with our Private Bankers and Investment Counselors. The person who fills this roll must have a knowledge of Investments including Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate. The successful candidate must be comfortable with detail problem solving - to create the client solutions. Preferably, this candidate will be someone with in depth knowledge of the various hedge fund strategies both international and domestic. This person will be in constant contact with CPB Investments Teams as well as directly with our clients. Good sales and product skills are required, also a high degree of professionalism - client service is equally important as new business development. Often solutions require coordinating negotiations with our client's in-house attorney and our CPB attorney regarding client agreements.
- Participate in relationship review meetings with bankers and clients to explore investment management needs
- Respond to banker team leads for sales opportunities - first interviewing banker team - then speaking to the client
- Delve into needs with clients - analyze their alternative investment needs, craft solutions and present recommendations in written proposals
- Ensure that solution is implemented, remain in contact with client - look for add on business
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience
- Excellent sales skills - ability to demonstrate online systems to clients and prospects
- Knowledge of AI products
- Attention to detail and good follow-up skills
- Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
- The ability to effectively deal with people at all levels - internal as well as clients, excellent interpersonal skills
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Alternatives preferred
- Singapore local licensing
