Job Description:
The Contracts Operations Manager for Asia Pacific supports the operations of the Asia Pacific Contracts team, and assists Contracts Directors in preparing the negotiation of some of Airbus S.A.S (Airbus)’ transactions for the sale of aircraft to airlines in Asia-Pacific.
- Support the Contracts Directors in leading the multifunctional teams who negotiate all aspects of Airbus’ transactions for the sale of aircraft to airlines in Asia-Pacific
- Support the Contracts Directors in some of their primary responsibilities:
- Be a contributor to the general definition of commercial strategy, and business rationales.
- Draft, and amend certain sales contract documents under the guidance of the Contracts Directors (Proposals, Letters of Intent, Memoranda of Understanding, Purchase Agreements and Amendments, Lease Agreements, as applicable) in order to reflect in detail the mutual obligations of Airbus and its Customers as globally negotiated by Airbus
- Help Contracts Directors ensure that the risks and obligations created by the Sales Contracts are in line with the terms negotiated by Airbus and the Customer(s) and are acceptable to Airbus
- Help Contracts Directors secure internal stakeholders alignment and validation of relevant Airbus internal approvals
- Help Contracts Directors ensure that information concerning negotiated commitments is made available to all relevant Airbus entities liable to fulfil these commitments, and provide advice or clarifications on the background as may be necessary.
- Produce and update Contracts Summaries
- Produce and update the team’s key indicators and reporting
- Ensure the proper filing of contractual documents and internal approvals
- Prepare the team’s contribution to weekly Operation Reviews
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related
- Previous experience driving commercial, strategic and/or analytical operations
- Analytical and strategic thinking with strong proficiency in calculation and analysis
- Autonomy, engagement, resistance to pressure
- Solid team player, willing to support colleagues
- Effective communication and relationship skills
- Ability to make an argument clearly and persuasively; strong sense of rigor
- Agility to work in a diverse environment
- Languages: Negotiation level in English
Any of the following skills will be considered as an asset:
- Experience in Asia and/or Pacific
- Experience of face to face interactions with customers
- Working experience in the aviation industry
- General understanding of contract law in an international context
- Knowledge of financial tools
Note: the job holder may be required to travel to Toulouse, France for several weeks for onboarding training
