About the Role
Join us as Investment Analyst at AIA Investment Management!We are looking for an Investment Analyst to join the Fixed Income - Global Developed Markets team which oversees AIA's externally managed Fixed Income portfolios. The role involves working closely with our external fund managers, conducting analysis to support selection and evaluation decision making and investment due diligence.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis to support the selection and evaluation of external managers and investment strategies including benchmark review, portfolio and performance analytics and attribution.
- Conduct research on external manager capabilities, investment strategies, benchmark indices, and relative value analysis across fixed income asset classes.
- Perform analysis to support ongoing portfolio oversight in relation to mandate guidelines and desired risk positions. Evaluation of different strategies and alignment of any appropriate course of action. Enhance investment monitoring & portfolio analytics processes, models and reports.
- Support external manager selection and evaluation processes including investment due diligence, ongoing monitoring and reviews.
- Preparation of portfolio review reports and presentations, support for internal compliance and governance reporting, ensuring client instructions are executed and recorded.
Requirements
- 4-7 years work experience in the financial industry preferably in fixed income.
- Experience in manager selection and evaluation and exposure to US/Global Fixed Income markets is a plus but not a requirement.
- Strong analytical capabilities with advanced quantitative skills in Excel, and Bloomberg functions.
- Strong logical and critical thinking and ability to communicate well.
- Ability to work well under pressure without compromising quality and accuracy.
- Team orientated, dedicated and open-minded working attitude.
- Graduate degree in business, finance, economics or related fields.
