Career Coach (Part Time)
Job Description:
To support NTU Education 2025 and beyond, this role is critical as part of the (Career & Attachment Office) CAO’s strategy to develop NTU students into future-ready graduates. The role of a Part-Time Career Coach guides, coaches and empowers NTU undergraduate students in their personal self-discovery, career exploration and professional development, thereby enhancing their employability and employment aligned to their career interests and goals.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 personalised career coaching and small group coaching (optional).
Guide students in exploring their career preferences, strengths, values and interests.
Administer self-assessment and career profiling tools, where necessary, to enable students to understand themselves better.
Coach students in their early career exploration and planning over the 4 years at NTU.
Provide students with information and resources on career-related topics (job search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, industry skills frameworks, etc).
Conduct resume critique and mock interview coaching sessions.
Coach students in strategies for internship and job search.
Engage students in career awareness and preparation matters.
Liaise with the respective School’s leadership on career-related matters.
Job Requirements:
A recognised degree with 9 to 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years experience in career coaching/counselling/career services/graduate recruitment/human resources/executive search/learning and development.
Relevant career coaching certification(s).
Possess qualifications/certification in self-assessment and career profiling tools.
Experienced coach with excellent coaching skills and ability to engage young adults.
Knowledgeable in traditional and technology/AI-enabled career coaching tools.
Knowledgeable of industries and workplace and employer expectations.
Strong initiative, self-motivated, and focused on helping students achieve career success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Active listener with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Meticulous with strong organization and administration skills.
Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office tools.
