Overview of Role
The person will join the Global Derivatives Desk in Singapore and will learn and gain insights about trading operations and processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in the trading industry and will allow him/her to gain more insight into how a trading business is built and maintained. The candidate will focus on the automated trading execution platform which supports multi-brokers and multi-exchanges (ICE, CME) with state-of-the-art trading algorithms. Alongside the desk traders and quants, the successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day monitoring of the strategy executions and responsible for improving the desk infrastructure robustness.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop and test real-time mission critical software for algorithmic trading.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, collaborating with exchanges and data providers to effectively oversee and monitor the team's strategies.
- Collaborate within a team alongside traders to implement automated trading strategies utilizing our established framework.
- Improve execution algorithm within the desk automated execution platform.
- Develop and enhance the existing analytical tools and databases.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager
Profile
The individual should have the following experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of coding expertise in Python. C++ is good to have but not a must.
- Linux experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in order management, exchange connectivity and market data handling.
- Previous employment in a buy side (prop desk/hedge fund) firm is a prerequisite.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases.
- Self-driven with the capability to excel both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure
