Job Title: Vice President - Infrastructure

Reports To: Group Head of Infrastructure

Role Overview:
As a Vice President in our Infrastructure Investment team, you will take a leadership role in sourcing, executing and managing infrastructure investment opportunities. You will be responsible for overseeing deal teams, leading due diligence processes, and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, advisors and portfolio companies. This role requires significant experience in infrastructure investments, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive complex transactions from origination to execution.
You will also play a key and active role in mentoring junior team members and contribute to the overall strategy and growth of the infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Origination and Execution
- Lead the identification and evaluation of new infrastructure investment opportunities across various sectors (e.g. energy, digital, logistics, etc.)
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry players, advisors and intermediaries to source high-quality deal flow
- Lead the preparation of investment memos, presentations and recommendations for the Investment Committee
- Overall all aspects of deal execution, including financial modelling, valuation, due-diligence, structuring and negotiation of terms
Due Diligence Leadership
- Coordinate and lead comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal and regulatory reviews
- Engage with and manage external advisors (e.g. legal, tax, financial, technical) to ensure thorough evaluation of investment opportunities
- Assess market trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting investments
Portfolio Management and Value Creation
- Oversee the ongoing monitoring and performance evaluation of portfolio assets, including the development of value creation plans
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to identify opportunities for operational improvements and strategic growth
- Provide strategic guidance on asset management decisions, including refinancing, divestments or exit strategies
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on financial modelling, analysis and project execution
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring professional development and skills growth within the team
Investor Relation and Fundraising
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing materials, meeting with potential investors and responding to investor inquiries
- Represent the firm at industry events and investor meetings to build the firm's reputation and expand its network
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or relevant certifications (CFA, CAIA) are a plus
Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in infrastructure investments, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting, with a strong track record of leading infrastructure transactions
- Strong financial modelling skills and experience with valuation techniques (DCF, LBO, comps, precedent transactions)
- Extensive experience working on infrastructure transactions, including due diligence, structuring and execution
- Deep understanding of infrastructure sector and their regulatory and macroeconomic environment
Skills:
- Exceptional financial modelling and valuation skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to synthesise complex information and make sound investment decisions
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present to senior decision-makers
- Exceptional organisational skills and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously
