ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

By joining us, you will own and handle the agility aspects of our MVPs (Minimum Valuable Products) or even contribute as a consultant within Thales Group’s projects or products. You will be the nurturing voice of product ownership and stewardship transformation within the Group by exemplifying the values of Digital Factory beyond its business lines.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Product Owner, you are accountable for:

• Taking the ownership of the development and projects to identify and to clear roadblocks and impediments on the behalf of the development team

• Assisting the team in strategizing the delivery of the project and development whilst providing transparency to the stakeholders and managing the expectations of the stakeholders

• Plan and prioritize product roadmap, feature backlog, and development for the product

• Assisting the team in refining the product backlog so that the user stories and tasks are refined through inspecting and timely adaptation

• Assisingt the team in creating effective user/technical stories and acceptance criteria for both types of stories

• Collaborate and working closely with the UX/UI designer to define and refine design/research stories and on their acceptance. Keeping user centricity as a KPI

• Working closely with the Scrum Master to ensure the team always has an adequate amount of tasks to work on at an efficient and goal/OKR driven manner

• Assess ‘value’, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product goals and strategy


KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

• You should have at least 4 - 5 years working in an environment where you have demonstrated a good breadth and depth of being a PO for development projects, MVPs using the Scrum methodology

• You are armed with In-depth knowledge of the Agile principles and process or development work employing the scrum framework

• You have good emotional intelligence, collaborative skills, motivating teams, ability to apply the 80/20 rule, able to influence, handle conflict management, and you have negotiation skills

• You know how to define what value is (and is not) and how to measure value via usage metrics, NPS, customer and user interviews, direct observation, ROI, customer feedback etc

• You know how to differentiate between ‘outcome’ and ‘output’ w.r.t maximizing value of development work and the projects

• You are open, and a strong communicator who communicates effectively across teams, locations and cultures, in-person and virtually

• You have the courage of convictions with a high degree of humility. Embraces constructive feedback and is resilient

• You prefer to work collaboratively with an iterative mindset, and engage your team and stakeholder to do the same

• You enjoy seeking feedback from your fellow peers; so you may benefit from them to optimise your own practices

• You bloom in a team and like working in a collaborative environment

• You agree that data over opinion is a healthy and an important mentality
