We are Singapore’s favourite neighbourhood grocer, and we source the finest all natural and organic food from farms and artisans from Australia, Europe, United States, Singapore, and many other wonderful locations.
We are a mission-driven, fast-growing company. We opened our first store in February 2016 to fill a gap in the market for the type of high-quality all-natural food that we would love to feed our own families.
With 7 Retail Stores, an E-Commerce platform, 6 Restaurants, the Starter Lab Bakery, we now have more than 350 team members! We have exciting growth plans, and we are always open for new team members with the same purpose and values we have, to join us on this incredible journey together!
Role of Chef de Partie:
Prepare menu in accordance with the café / bistro's excellent standards of quality and delectable recipes
Maintain high standards of hygiene by ensuring all cooking equipment is clean and kept properly
Assist in inventory control of kitchen supplies and equipment
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations, according to government regulations
Maintain positive working relationships with the Front-of-House and retail team members
Any other duties as assigned
*Learning and training opportunities leading to growth and salary increments:
Cook / Commis --> Chef de Partie --> Junior Sous Chef --> Sous Chef --> Head Chef
Skills & Abilities:
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods, such as grilling, baking, boiling etc.
Possess food hygiene and safety certification
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly responsible and reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Able to work on weekends and public holidays (5-day roster)
