The Role: CERAWeek Partner Liaison Manager

Overview: CERAWeek by S&P Global – the Global annual energy conference in Houston, Texas () – brings together global leaders to advance new ideas, insight and solutions to the biggest challenges facing the future of energy, the environment, and climate. The Impact: S&P Global seeks a Partner (Sponsor) Liaison Manager for CERAWeek who will be responsible for supporting a select portfolio of CERAWeek Partners in their engagement with the conference. The Partner Liaison serves as the primary client-facing contact for CERAWeek by S&P Global. This person will ensure successful strategic planning, management, and execution of CERAWeek Partnerships at various levels. The liaison will provide Partners with an optimal experience, while balancing associated costs to achieve a maximum return on investment. The liaison will be the main coordinator among the various internal departments to provide Partnership deliverables in a timely and effective manner. This person should be highly organized, self-motived, enjoy working closely with clients, and excel at coordinating among multiple internal and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for: The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills with acute attention to details, be proficient in Microsoft Office, understand cloud-based collaboration tools (such as OneDrive or Microsoft Teams), and have experience working in project management (such as Monday.com or AirTable) and/ or event management software (such as Rainfocus or Cvent). The role will require a self-started with excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with an ability to balance multiple priorities. Strong communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills are integral for this role. The candidate will need to be comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment and collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrix organization, with experience on a remote team a plus.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Event Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in client relations, partnership management, or event coordination, preferably within the energy sector or similar high-stakes environments is highly desired.

  • Exceptional organizational abilities with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining acute attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., OneDrive, Microsoft Teams). Experience with project management software (such as Monday.com or AirTable) and event management platforms (like Rainfocus or Cvent) will be beneficial.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service and stakeholder engagement and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to identify risks and opportunities proactively.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to CERAWeek in Houston and potentially other locations as needed.

  • A strategic thinker who stays informed about industry trends and best practices, able to advocate for partners and enhance their engagement experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as primary liaison to assigned CERAWeek Partners, managing delivery of all contractual commitments associated (following contract execution by Partnership sales), which may include:

  • Brand management, Media and Marketing

  • Executive engagement and/or speaking engagements

  • On-site events and/or hosting functions

  • Registration support and management

  • Meeting space(s) and/or hotel accommodations

  • Work closely with the Partnership commercial/sales team to:

  • Align on Partner engagement strategies

  • Regularly communicate potential risks or opportunities

  • Manage post-conference Partner feedback and next steps

  • Collaborate on Partnership packages and benefits

  • Serve as a Partner advocate and source-of-knowledge for internal stakeholders (programming teams, Leadership team, operations, etc.)

  • Actively create an exceptional Partner experience and high return on Partner investment

  • Remain up-to-date with event Partnership trends and support the organization with best practice identification and implementation

  • Remain informed of Partners company strategies and key organizational changes which may impact participation delivery

  • Lead process improvement, including documentation, for workflows related to Partnership

  • Additional responsibilities may include support for various other S&P Global events.
