Job Description
As a Business Manager, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) - Asia Pacific, you will drive growth of autonomous mobile robot (AMR) solutions in the AP region. You guide the team as commercial and technical product experts to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and support closure of complex technical sales.
You will report into Director, Intelligent Devices - AP within Global Sales and Marketing. We are open for the role to be based in Singapore or South Korea.
Your Responsibilities:
- You will help develop/execute the commercial strategy of AMRs and promote the alignment with broader Rockwell Automation strategies in Asia Pacific.
- Work with ITD Director and Marketing Programs manager and regional sales leaders to co-create effective programs and communicate AP commercial plan for AMR.
- Build trust, advise, and demonstrate the value of our solutions, our brand, and our business for prospective customers and channel partners.
- Use Voice-of-Customer / User Research with current and prospective customers to identify pain points to target at a market and user level. Be a strategic business developer and a trusted consultant throughout the sales cycle.
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry strategies and have familiarity with outcome-based selling.
- Understand the business drivers and KPI's of the customer.
- Articulate differentiators and values versus competition for Rockwell Automation AMR solutions.
- Participate in commercial initiatives/programs across the portfolio that provide commercial advantages relative to competitive offerings.
- Collaborate with sales, application consultants, domain experts, delivery / engineering, services, and your peer regional team members to assess and respond to new sales opportunities.
- Collect market data and ideas to develop strategies for growth and to inform our product management organisation to improve the market success of our products.
- Tell a comprehensive product/feature story wherever you recognise gaps in our product roadmap.
- Work with and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a collaborative, matrixed organisation.
- Understand business models, organisation, and go to market strategy, leverage.
- Participate in resolution of customer-facing issues/complaints within the business for related product or portfolio offering. Support building strategic partnerships.
- Involvement in pricing and contract negotiations with important customers.
- Support forecasting activities.
- Be an advocate in external events & conferences, presenting your portfolio
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- At least 5 years' experience in automation / robotic / business manager
- At least 25% travel time
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- A master’s degree in an engineering/technical related field or equivalent.
- You have 5+ years of automation industry experience with:o Industry knowledge preferably in warehousing, logistics, material handlingo Application Knowledge preferably in AMRs and vehicle automation for indoor industrial applications
- Grasp new technical and business problems related to manufacturing, inventory management, distribution, and order fulfillment, etc.
- Understand the problems which face robotics adopters (technical and otherwise)
- Have a understanding of larger Rockwell Automation's products, how to apply them and the value they bring to the customer.
- Previous business management and product management responsibility
- Motivated team player in global cross teams.
