Job Description:
This role is for Regional Virtualization team lead, and He/she plays a pivot role in managing Virtualization, Windows platforms across multiple locations and oversees a team of regional members, ensuring successful delivery of projects and stable operations across APAC. This executive role requires strategic leadership, cross-functional coordination, and operational excellence to achieve organizational goals and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1.Leadership & Strategy
- Lead a regional team responsible for the architecture, deployment, and management of Windows-based platforms and virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix).
- Develop and implement strategies to improve performance, scalability, and availability of the Windows platform and virtualization infrastructure.
- Align technical objectives with organizational goals and ensure compliance with IT governance and security standards.
2.Technical Oversight
- Drive the design and implementation of Windows server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
- Oversee virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, ESXi, Hyper-V, and related tools.
- Ensure the optimization and automation of routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Ansible, or similar tools.
3.Project Management
- Manage infrastructure-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to plan and execute cross-functional projects.
4.Team Development
- Recruit, mentor, and develop technical talent within the team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
5.Operational Excellence
- Ensure system reliability and uptime by managing incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance.
- Plan and manage capacity, updates, patching, and lifecycle management for both Windows platforms and virtualization infrastructure.
6.Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the point of contact for escalations and communicate technical details effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Present infrastructure performance reports, roadmaps, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Min 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with min 5 years in a lead move up role.
- Experience in virtualization platforms: VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, or similar technologies.
- Experience with cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (Hybrid or Cloud-native infrastructure).
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server ecosystems, including Windows Server 2019/2022.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
- Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup solutions.
- Proven leadership experience in managing distributed teams.
- Strong project management and organizational skills (PMP/ITIL certifications are a plus).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
