Job Title: NDT Technician
Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Function:
To perform NDT inspection in Rolls-Royce Seletar premises in an efficient and effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify surface or very near surface discontinuities in a weld or critical area of engine component using Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Inspection.
Use Portable handheld scanning technique to detect surface and subsurface defects.
Perform FPI and inspect under UV light for flaws open to the surface such as cracks, laps, etc.
Perform Binocular Inspection which is capable of viewing up to 40X magnification.
Monitor the usage and performed calibration on NDT equipment and measuring instrumentation.
Ensure all tasks achieve agreed quality standards and deadlines in line with customer OEM and Company requirements.
Work within NDT team to achieve optimum levels of performance, being particularly aware of On-Time Delivery.
Ensure that processes and procedures are followed to ensure all tasks are performed efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Comply with all safety procedures and legislation associated with NDT and aeronautical product.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma holder and equivalent
Minimum of 3 years aviation NDT experience.
Solid experience in Ultrasonic and Eddy Current Inspection (must have completed all necessary practical hours).
Possess good analytical skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft office tools.
Be detail-oriented.
Be able to use wide range of tools and instruments.
Have a good eyesight and color vision.
Available to work on flexible working hours.
