  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.

Join the laboratory of Shen Yijie at SPMS. We are seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to a project focused on Harnessing High-Dimensional Complex Optical Topological Structures by Generative AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the AI architecture for the project

  • Design the Physics-enhanced algorithm for structured light classification

  • Manage the project's progress

  • Write the academic paper (journal and conference)

  • Write the research funding proposal

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in AI for Science or related field

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in technical hands-on experience with AI for Nanophotonics

  • Familiarity with structured light, generative AI models.

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in FDTD simulation, PyTorch, and Python Programming

  • Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines

  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
