Overview:


The candidate will be part of the team that develops, implements, and support the various stakeholders in paediatric cluster (Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children’s Medical Institute) in the running of the department and paediatric services.


Job Responsibilities:


Support for Department of Paediatric Surgery

  • Support the Department in their requests in the annual CAPEX Budget cycle and procurement.
  • Assist to generate data and tracking for their annual retreat, monitor workload and to justify for additional resources.
  • Assist the team with surgery related queries i.e cost of procedures and/or consumables.
  • Point of Contact for Department of Paediatric Surgery between the department and OT Core Group.
  • Support the Department in renovation and/or improvement projects, ensure timely completion within the approved budget.

Outpatient Operations Support for all 3 departments in KTP-NUCMI

Procurement & Project Management


  • Work closely with Clinical Director, Nursing, Ancillary and Allied Health to provide outpatient support to the following outpatient areas:
    • KTP-NUCMI Specialist Outpatient Clinics
    • Paediatrics Day Therapy
    • Shaw-NKF Children’s Kidney Centre
    • Viva University Children’s Cancer Centre
  • Assist to track milestones and activities related to renovation projects and/or improvements in the clinical areas to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Responsible in procuring, managing and deployment of resources/equipment required in the clinical areas.
  • Provide end-to-end support for the division in setting up of new clinical services. This involves the creation of new codes, making modifications to the workflow and NGEMR system.
  • Work closely with Finance and the different divisions to ensure pricing of service codes are reviewed regularly and appropriately priced.

Management of Partners

  • Maintain close relationship with partners and support their operational matters and projects if any i.e. Ronald McDonald House Charities Singapore (RMHC).

Administrative Requirements

  • Coordinate meetings, collate agendas and minutes taking for monthly Clinical department meetings.
  • Assist in data extraction for monitoring and tracking department targets.

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)


  • Support any additional duty and/or other outpatient related work as assigned by Reporting officer or higher management.
  • Support departmental events and execution.

Requirements:


  • Degree from a recognized institution
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in healthcare will be an advantage
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint
  • Analytical and with good communication skills (written & spoken).
  • Problem-based learning.
  • Has initiative and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive, motivated and able to perform under pressure.
