Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Control Lead

Wells Fargo is seeking an Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Controls Lead who will support the team with monitoring, management and strategic development of a regulatory and accounting risk and control framework, along with related functions across all APAC entities. In this role, you will:
Maintenance of control framework, ensuring consistent reporting across i) Key performance & risk metrics ii) project plans
Participates in the issues management process on behalf of Finance and Controllers including the escalation, reporting, and remediation of financial reporting errors and control deficiencies
Supports the Financial Reporting Governance & Oversight Framework in partnership with Enterprise Control & Oversight function by implementing effective internal financial reporting controls Ensures Enterprise priorities are met on documentation and control initiatives including process mapping, RCSA, and business continuity
Preparation of documents for various risk and remediation status meetings
Helping to create an environment in which all team members are comfortable raising risk management, regulatory and compliance issues
Working with line controllers teams to document, assess and communicate regulatory and accounting issues
Ensuring that all relevant WF policies and procedures are followed
Assisting the wider controllers team in the adoption of technology solutions to address the above needs as well as to improve effectiveness of the teams day to day operations
Assisting with staff metrics maintenance, planning, training and the recruitment activities of the team including partnering with HR in the design and running of team and culture enhancing sessions
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Qualified accountant with experience of at least 10 years in accounting and controls related work in financial services and/or big 4 consultancy firms
Self-starter with a pro-active approach to driving change in order to add value
Experience of owning and / or implementing risk management and RCSA processes
Experience of owning or implementing Regulatory and / or Legal Entity Control Frameworks
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong written and verbal communications
