The Global Technology Partners team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our customers in China. We are seeking a proven Partner technical account manager with experience selling to Mainland China and Hong Kong companies. You will collaborate with Alibaba Cloud, our implementation partners and the Salesforce Global Technology Partnership team to help Alibaba Cloud grow our business in Mainland China and Hong Kong. Prior Mulesoft and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience with technology and solution selling in a must, working in partner technical sales is highly desirable.

Job Description

This Technical Partner Account Manager is responsible for presenting Mulesoft, Marketing Cloud and integration solutions to prospects and customers while handling all technical objections in the sales cycle. Through carefully planned discovery with a range of stakeholders you will uncover the specific business requirements and value drivers that make this a compelling and transformative project.

Working with the extended sales teams in both Salesforce and Alibaba Cloud you will help to develop a differentiated solution, demonstrate this to the customer, and address any questions and concerns they may have. During this process you will create impactful relationships with your customers and strive to become their trusted advisor. In addition, it is expected that you will be a key contributor to the Mulesoft and Marketing Cloud business strategy in the region and use your strategic thinking skills to help develop the market for Mulesoft and Marketing Cloud in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with your Global Technology Partnership account teams, Alibaba Cloud and Implementation Partners to:

  • Manage the technical components of the Mulesoft and Marketing Cloud Sales cycle

  • Design innovative solutions to address challenges and build those solutions on the Mulesoft and Marketing Cloud. Present customized story-driven demonstrations aligned with key business value and solution differentiation

  • Grow Mulesoft and Marketing Cloud in Mainland China and Hong Kong via the Alibaba Resale Sales Motion, working deeply with our integration partners

  • The ability to confidently present and concisely articulate the business value of Mulesoft and Marketing Cloud to managers and executives of all levels

  • Provide thought leadership in how organizations can drive customer success through digital transformation and solution integration

  • Present Salesforce's technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with hardware, software, integration, networking and security stack

  • Work as a team player by orchestrating members of solution teams to create effective customer engagements and through knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams

  • Deliver functional and technical responses to RFPs/RFIs

  • Present at marketing events

  • Participate in training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in role


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Previous technical experience involving Mulesoft and/or Marketing Cloud either as a Solutions Engineer, technical lead or implementation consultant

  • Technical understanding of SAAS solutions, architecture and modern business applications including integrations, familiar with integration/ automation ecosystem solution , like: Oracle ODI/BPEL, SAP BTP, Alteryx, UiPath , Boomi, Tibco etc

  • Experience developing mobile responsive web pages, emails and apps

  • Understanding and experience in the Martech landscape

  • Previous experience working and selling to Hong Kong and Chinese Domestic enterprises

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin, fluency in Cantonese a plus as this role will include coverage in Hong Kong

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a focus on capturing requirements and use cases, developing a solution and articulating business value

  • Superior presentation and demonstration skills with a focus on storytelling

  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems

  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills in a dynamic sales environment

  • Willing to travel to Hong Kong and Mainland China (at least once a quarter)

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to get results

  • Function effectively in a fast-paced high-energy market segment and successfully balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment

  • Comfortable with the ambiguity associated with a fast paced business.


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Business or market development skills highly desirable, especially in growing a product or market segment via Partners

  • Deep understanding of Cloud Computing and CRM

  • Experience in multi product solution selling

  • Business analysis and business case/ROI construction

  • Detailed knowledge of Salesforce platform
